Wham! hits number 1 on the UK album chart with the album ‘Make It Big’ and number 1 on the US singles chart with the hit ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go’. The song was inspired by a note left for George Michael by his band mate Andrew Ridgeley in which he accidentally repeated the word “up”.
